Brett is a software development tool operated by BRETTAI LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we", "us"). Brett provides a coding agent — delivered as an editor extension and a command-line tool — and a web dashboard, billed by metered usage. By creating an account or using Brett you agree to these terms.
You need an account to use Brett. Accounts belong to teams; team owners and admins control member access, spending limits, and settings. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
Brett is prepaid. You purchase credits through Stripe, and usage is metered against your team balance at the rates shown on our pricing page and your dashboard. Rates may change; changes apply to future usage, never retroactively. Purchased credits are not a deposit account and do not earn interest.
Unused credits are refundable on request to the original payment method. Used credits are non-refundable. Refunds are processed within a few business days of the request.
Brett runs AI models against your code and instructions, executes commands you approve, and records usage receipts and verification results. When your team enables storage features, Brett also keeps transcripts, memory, and task details for later work. AI output can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing changes before applying them and for your own code, deployments, and backups. Brett is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Your code stays yours. We claim no ownership over your repositories, prompts, or the output you accept. Team owners and admins control retention, export, and deletion of stored transcripts, memory, datasets, and task details; see the Privacy Policy for details. Operational records needed for billing, security, and legal compliance follow separate retention rules. We do not train models of our own on your code, prompts, transcripts, or decisions — not for us, and not for anyone else. If your team uses the model training feature, models are trained only on your team's own data and belong to your team's account.
Don't use Brett to break the law, to attack systems you don't have permission to test, to develop malware, or to interfere with the service itself. We may suspend accounts that do. Third-party AI providers we route to have their own acceptable use policies, which apply to traffic sent to them.
Brett's client software — the editor extension and the command-line tool — is licensed to you, not sold, for use with the service. Don't copy, resell, or redistribute it; don't reverse engineer, decompile, or extract its source code except to the extent the law allows it despite this term; and don't use the software, or systematic extraction of its output, to build, train, or improve a competing product or service. The Brett name and logo are our trademarks.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or the results of code changes you applied.
You can stop using Brett and request account deletion at any time; remaining unused credits are refunded per section 3. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, with refund of unused credits unless the breach involved fraud or abuse of the service.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site or by email, and continued use after changes means acceptance. These terms are governed by Washington law. Questions: support@choosebrett.com.
